Applications Invited for 2009-10

BSSI invites application for the academic year 2009-10, for the following Post-graduate programs from those with a bachelor’s degree and a call for Christian Service

Master of Ministry (M. Min., 2 years)

Master of Theology (M. Th., 4 years)

(ThreeYears for graduates with B.D)

Application forms are available at the seminary office or could be downloaded from this website.

Entrance Exam Dates: 29 & 30 June 2009 at 10 am

Seminary Re-Opening date: 6th July 2009

BSSI Elects A New President!

Meet Mr. Saji Thomas. Saji Thomas has just accepted the invitation to assume the responsibilities of President of Baptist Seminary of South India. Saji grew up in the church of St. Thomas in the state of Kerala and was destined for the priesthood of that denomination. The Lord intervened and he ended up at Berean Baptist Bible College where he was led to faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. He received his B. Th. degree from Berean and then went to Asian Christian Academy where he earned the Master of Theology degree. Saji has served as a professor at Calvary Baptist Bible College and as Assistant Pastor at Grace Baptist Church in Bangalore.

In 1996 he studied at Northwest Baptist Seminary, Tacoma, WA and received the Master of Sacred Theology degree in 1998. Since that time Saji has been serving the Lord in BSSI as a professor and has had several other responsibilities thrust upon him, such as, business manager, acting president, registrar, and, up till now, Vice President. He has also served as Interim Pastor at Bethel Baptist Church. His academic qualifications and experience makes him the perfect man for the leadership of BSSI.

Saji and Jessy have been married for 15 years and have three children, Jerusha (14), Shaphan (12), and Navith (7).
Saji will assume the responsibilities of President with the start of our second quarter, October 6. I am sure you will keep him in your prayers.
